Admission Process

D. PHARM.

Pharmacy is a medical field involved in the preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication meant for therapeutic purposes. The course provides the minimum qualification to become a Registered Pharmacist in India. Diploma in Pharmacy is a 2-year full-time Diploma course. 

D. Pharmacy has been designed to prepare candidates to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in hospitals, community pharmacies, and other related pharmaceutical fields.

Pharmacists are healthcare professionals who practice in the field of pharmacy. They are knowledgeable about drug therapy, different types of drugs (their composition, manufacturing process and properties) and optimum use of drugs (depending upon the condition of the patient). Pharmacists are also known by titles such as- druggists, chemists and Doctor of Pharmacy. Their main tasks include- compounding, checking prescriptions, dispensing drugs, advice dosage and directions to patients and checking and maintaining the drug store inventory (at hospitals, clinics or drug stores).

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for admission is that the candidate must have passed (10+2) level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

Duration : 2 years

Documents Required for Admission

The candidates is required to submit the following certificates and documents in original with the admission form THREE additional attested photo copy of original qualification documents. The required documents are:-

  • Complete application form along with Demand Draft / Cash Receipt.
  • Certificates of Qualifications.
  • Transfer / Migration Certificate from the university and College Leaving Certificate from the Institute last attended.
  • Domicile Certificate in case of non-U.P. candidate.
  • Character Certificate from the Principal of the Institute last attended.
  • Five recent passport size colored photographs.
  • Caste Certificate in case of OBC/SC & ST candidates.
  • Income certificate in case the income of the Parents is less than Rs. One Lakh per annum.
  • Each of the students has to submit an undertaking that in case he/she is found guilty of being involved in ragging, he /she will be liable for punishment.
  • Other certificates: (1) Wards of Freedom Fighters (2) Wards of Armed forces personnel (3) Wards of people belonging to minorities (4) Wards of people below poverty line and others.
  • Certificates of Prizes and Medals Won.
  • Sports Certificates.
